ROMIE SEV7N

Some voices tell a story. Romie Se7en’s voice tells the saga of two nations. His journey began in Kingston, Jamaica—the world's proving ground for dancehall and reggae music. Born Romaine Thomas into this sonic crucible, he is an artist whose sound is steeped in authenticity and whose destiny is undeniable.

His childhood was a tale of two Jamaica’s, split between the urban energy of Portmore and the rustic soul of Hanover. Music was the air he breathed. He found himself at the epicentre of a musical brotherhood, witnessing firsthand the grind and glory of his own circle. While his cousin, singer Mikey Solo, honed his craft, Romie watched in awe as Mikey's close friends, Hawkeye and Dancehall Chico, ascended from local heroes to international forces. They became family, and their meteoric rise ignited a fire in him, providing a blueprint for his own ambitions.

A migration to Toronto (TDOT) marked the next chapter. It was within the hallowed walls of the church that Romie discovered the true power of his voice, soon writing his own lyrics to overwhelming acclaim. The path was clear. Shedding his early moniker "Baby Romie," he stepped into his power as Romie Se7en.

With a style that marries gritty dancehall authenticity with a sophisticated melodic flow, his talent became a magnet for industry giants. He laid down tracks for Jamaica's iconic producer Gutty Bling (Claims Records), voicing the influential Darkness, Cranberry, and Sneak Preview Riddims. His ambition then led him to forge a crucial alliance with international producer Patrick Stephenson, the visionary behind the global anthem "Who Let the Dogs Out." This was more than a one-time collaboration; it became an enduring partnership. Today, Romie is a mainstay at the legendary Action House Studio, where Stephenson remains the sonic architect of his sound—the mastermind behind some of his biggest hits and a vault of explosive unreleased anthems being forged in their creative sanctuary. This upward trajectory, powered by elite producers, culminated in his biggest feature to date: joining forces with the King of the Dancehall himself, Beenie Man, for the banger, "Wizard."

A true warrior on the stage, Romie’s live performances are the stuff of legend. He hascommanded Canada's largest cultural event, the Montreal International Reggae Festival, andignited the crowd at Alkaline's acclaimed Palm Nation festival. The roar from these events was more than applause; it was a coronation, cementing his status as one of Toronto's mostrespected artists and sending his name echoing toward international recognition.

But Romie Se7en’s vision extends far beyond the microphone. He co-founded the management company Sky Team Enterprise, a testament to the brotherhood that shaped him. Under this umbrella, he co-launched the Total Exposure podcast alongside Hawkeye, Mikey Solo, Chico, and Tainu "Ricardo" Varian—a platform dedicated to championing artist welfare.

Now, Romie Se7en—the artist, producer, and entrepreneur—is ushering in his next monumental era. For Summer 2025, he is set to unleash two self-produced projects: the Millionaire Riddim and the Simma Dung Riddim. A masterclass in collaboration, they are produced alongside his cousin Mikey Solo and his brother-in-arms, Tainu "Ricardo" Varcianna. Theprojects will feature his dynamic remastered track "Wouldn't Be Normal" and the breathtaking duet "Hold on To Me," featuring Canada’s brilliant rising star, Selena Evangeline.

Romie Se7en's journey is a rich tapestry woven from Kingston's fire, Toronto's soul, and an unbreakable bond of brotherhood. He is a bridge between the foundation and the future, an artist who honours his roots while building an empire. His story is one of perseverance andpower—and its most exciting chapters are just being written.
